Prime Minister Dahal Emphasizes the Timelessness of Buddha's Philosophy at Ramagrama Stupa Event

Nawalparasi: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, popularly known as 'Prachanda,' expressed that the philosophy of Lord Gautam Buddha would endure as long as human existence during a program held at the Ramagrama Stupa in West Nawalparasi district. The Prime Minister conveyed his wish for global peace, highlighting the relevance and necessity of Buddha's teachings in the present era.

Acknowledging the significance of Lord Buddha's teachings, PM Dahal pledged to implement a master plan for the development of the Ramagrama Stupa. He emphasized the importance of farsighted efforts to restore, conserve, and develop the sacred site.

The program, held at the Ramagrama Stupa, was aimed at spreading the message of global peace. PM Dahal recalled the commitment made by himself and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to work towards world peace. He anticipated that the event would contribute not only to disseminating a new message globally but also play a vital role in the religious, cultural, and touristic development of the Ramagrama Stupa and the entire Lumbini area.

PM Dahal conveyed that the international community has been urged to prioritize the conservation and development of Buddha-era heritage sites. He reaffirmed his commitment to actively contribute to the development of such heritage sites, expressing his inspiration drawn from the philosophy, thoughts, and teachings of Buddha.

Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati informed attendees about the government's comprehensive plan for the development of Tilaurakot, Lumbini, and the Ramagrama Stupa. Emphasizing Nepal's religious tolerance, PM Dahal highlighted that despite being multi-lingual and multi-ethnic, people from all religions and communities in Nepal follow the Buddhist philosophy, which he described as a message of unity.

The event saw the participation of representatives from various foreign countries and Buddhist followers from diverse nations.
